3D tactile sparkle Elephant Cozy Sweatshirt Blanket - charcoal Heather grey

I gasped when we printed this  bright blue ink for the first time. In my head, this Indian elephant was beautiful with a raised trunk and decorative blanket on its back. I was excited about using the  colorful tactile ink with the glitter in it to add additional dimension. What I didn’t know was how beautiful the print would come out with the combination of the color, the glitter and the details of the art. (Of course, I was using an enormous amount of light to be able to see it -so to me the sparkle was just WOWZA!)

The elephant is walking forward with it trunk happily up in the air and its tusk facing upwards. There are long floppy ears an a waving tail. The elephant is decorated in traditional Indian style with pretty design motifs. The elephant has a blanket on its back. The blanket has a big floral design on it. All of these elements are completely tactile when you see this print with your hands.

Underneath the elephant are the words “courage*strength*wisdom In grade 1 braille”

In case you don’t read braille or forget what the words are, we are going to include a braille alphabet card from the American printing house in your package. We also think it will be fun if you pick one of our braille only prints to send to a friend, who will have fun decoding the braille if they are not braille readers. 

I did this print with a nod  to my friend Pooja Punjabi, whose family is from Punjab, India. Many of you know Pooja and her husband Cosimo from national conventions. Pooja has been remarkably supportive In my life journey, particularly when the journey turned to blindness. She has been so supportive throughout the five years of Blind Girl Designs, and is still cheering us on  to this day.

First,, buy the blanket in the color of your choice. Once you do that, just tap through and email us at tricia@blindgirldesigns.com, or call us at 862-448-1011. Leave your name or the name on the order and the name of the print you want on the blanket in your voicemail or email.

The print that you choose will be printed 10 inches down from the top of the blanket centered on the blanket so it will be laying between your chest and your lap. 

Please wash this blanket in cold water on delicate, or even better if you have a laundry bag to put in the washer, fold the blanket up with the ink inside and then launder. If you want to put it in the dryer, just keep it in the laundry bag to protect the ink while you tumble dry back to fluffiness.
