Wisconsin Hoodie - Carolina Blue

Although I’m not from Wisconsin, I am Wisconsin adjacent. When I was young, we lived in Chicago and so we vacationed every summer in the Wisconsin Dells. Then when I grew up, I lived in an apartment on Lake Superior on the Minnesota side, and availed myself of lots of walleye and cheese curds (not fried) across the bridge in Wisconsin. Today when I can find cheese curds I grab as many bags as I can.

So let’s talk about the beautiful print that we created for Wisconsin. In the center of the print is a very clear rising sun. It is almost yellow white in the morning.  Beneath the rising Sun are the scrubby pines and oaks starting with a Grey green color, evolving to an olive color then deepening to a forest green.

At the base of the trees on either side rise incredible towers of sandstone in red, oranges, and browns. What make these monoliths so impressive is that not only are they created by nature but they actually grow scrubby trees on top. Amazing! These Wisconsin Dell formations are awesome and inspiring. At the bottom of the formations, of course, is water, glistening in shades of aqua and blue.

Transposed over the water across the entire print is the word Wisconsin in a deep yellow clean font. Beneath the word Wisconsin there is an arch in the art and in that arch is Wisconsin in Golden tactile braille.

Framing the art on the left side is a white cane, and framing the art on the right side is also a white cane.

Let’s go back to that clear, searing sun. Above the sun in the sky, there are yellow and golden rays emanating from the sun, all the way to the end of the art. At the very top of the print on either side where the handles of the white canes are framing the print, we added art deco arches in yellow to complement the beautiful sun and sky. It adds such a beautiful artistic element to the art, and a nod to the historic nature of the Wisconsin Dell as a popular tourist attraction for several centuries.

We loved making this print and are overjoyed with how it turned out. We hope you love it too.

This hoodie is 100% cotton, but do not size up because there is a very little shrinkage when washed. Please wash inside out in cold wash and hang to dry or tumble for a few minutes to get the wrinkles out.

Available in sizes youth small through large, adult small through five XL, tall large through three XL. All sizes are unisex.
