Jersey Proud!  We ARE the Garden State

If you’re from lush and green  Jersey, you know “The Garden State” isn’t just a nickname—it’s home.

This colorful tactile print  is a Fundraiser for the New Jersey Council  of the Blind. Many thanks  to Sebastian and crew for all of the wonderful Jersey insights and conversation! 

Let’s celebrate This great organization and  all of New Jersey all at the same time !

This print celebrates the things that make Jersey unmistakably, well,  Jersey.

From our  tomatoes, sweet corn, peaches, apples, and blueberries- to the Shore ( I mean, what is summer without the shore ?)  this design brings together pieces of the state we know and love.

A large  bright green outline of New Jersey anchors the artwork, with the word  “Jersey”  in  bright green letters and  green braille proudly runs through the center of the state.

It’s a little bit farm stand, a little bit Jersey Shore, and a whole lot of Jersey pride. (Hey Pine barrens! We know you’re there!)

Off to the right of the state outline  are other great marks of Pride.

We have a little image of the Garden  State Parkway at the top right hand side of the print .

(although we know if we had  the space we could run it completely from the top  the bottom of the state and list  every single exit! ).

Running down  along the shore we have a red and white Lighthouse as a nod of all of our light houses  that run down by  the shore towns.

At the bottom of the print on the right,  in the general direction of  Wildwood  is  a Ferris wheel  as a nod -to all those wonderful boardwalks running down the shore.

The top of the print  proudly states “We are the Garden State”  in Green Ink with green tactile grade one braille beneath it.

The remainder of the print  is framed on three sides by three different white canes!

It’s a little bit farm stand, a little bit Jersey Shore, and a whole lot of Jersey pride.

Whether you grew up here, live here, or simply know there’s no place quite like Jersey, this print is a fun celebration of the state we all call home.

The print is on the back of the zip hoodie. We used our tactile ink on , so remember to wash inside out. The ink becomes more tactile the more you wash the garment and the cotton fluffs up. 

This is a classic full zip hoodie with two pockets on the front and a drawstring, full zip hood. The sleeves and the bottom are banded. These zip hoodies come in unisex sizing youth small through large, adult small through five XL, and tall large through three XL.

It is made from cotton/poly heavyweight fleece. Please zip closed and wash inside out. It's okay to tumble dry in a hot dryer to make it nice and fluffy as long as it is zipped closed and inside out.
